10ml is the largest bottle UK law allows for e-liquid containing nicotine, which makes it the standard size for anything you can vape straight from the bottle. There are 167 of them here from 11 brands, at £2.25 to £2.99, in 5mg, 10mg, 15mg and 20mg.

Why 10ml and not larger

The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations cap nicotine-containing e-liquid at 20mg/ml and restrict bottles containing nicotine to 10ml. Anything larger on sale in the UK is a shortfill: nicotine-free as supplied, in a part-filled bottle, with a nicotine shot bought separately. So a 10ml bottle is not a small version of something bigger — for nicotine liquid it is the whole category.

Nic salt or 50/50?

Both come in 10ml bottles at the same strengths and both suit refillable pod kits. Salts are the more common pairing for 20mg because of how the nicotine is formulated; 50/50 freebase is the more common choice lower down the range and in MTL tanks. Where a product is offered in both, the option appears on the product page.

How long a 10ml bottle lasts

There is no honest single answer — it depends entirely on the device. A low-power pod drawing 1ml a day makes a 10ml bottle last about a week and a half; a higher-power kit will get through the same bottle considerably faster because it vaporises more liquid per puff. If you are switching to a more powerful device, expect your liquid to go further down, not up.

Multi-buy

Most of this range is covered by our multi-buy pricing, applied in the basket with no code needed. Flavours can be mixed within an offer.

What the strength on the label means

The figure is a concentration: milligrams of nicotine per millilitre of liquid. A 20mg bottle holds 20mg in every millilitre, so a full 10ml bottle contains 200mg in total. That is why the strength alone tells you very little about intake — how much you actually use depends on how much liquid the device vaporises.

Common problems and what causes them

  • Burnt taste on a new pod — almost always the wick not being saturated. Fill, then wait five minutes before the first puff.
  • Leaking — often a liquid too thin for the coil, or a pod not seated properly. Check the ratio the device asks for.
  • Flavour fading after a week — normal coil wear. Sweeter and darker liquids shorten coil life noticeably.
  • Harshness that was not there before — usually a tired coil rather than the liquid.

Storage

Closed, upright, away from sunlight and heat. Darkening with age is oxidation of the flavourings and is expected; check the best-before date on the bottle.

Choosing in three questions

Almost every liquid decision comes down to the same three, in this order.

  1. What does your device take? A pod kit or MTL tank wants 10ml 50/50 or nic salt. A sub-ohm kit wants a VG-heavy shortfill. Getting this wrong is what burns coils, and no change of flavour will fix it.
  2. What strength? Low-power devices are generally paired with the upper end of the range, higher-power devices with much lower strengths, because power decides how much liquid — and therefore how much nicotine — each puff delivers.
  3. What flavour? Only now. It is the part everyone starts with and the part that matters least to whether the setup works.

If a setup is not working, change one variable at a time and keep the other two fixed. Changing device, strength and flavour together leaves no way to tell which one was the problem.

The terms you will meet, in plain English

Term What it means
mg/ml Nicotine concentration — milligrams of nicotine in each millilitre of liquid. Capped at 20mg/ml in the UK.
Ohm (Ω) Coil resistance. Higher means a tighter draw and less vapour; lower means an airier draw and more.
Sub-ohm A coil below 1.0 ohm. Produces a lot of vapour, needs thick VG-heavy liquid and low nicotine.
MTL Mouth to lung. Draw into the mouth, then inhale. Tight, and the more familiar of the two styles.
DTL Direct to lung. Draw straight in. Airy, high vapour, sub-ohm hardware.
VG / PG Vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol. VG is thicker and makes vapour; PG is thinner and carries flavour.
Freebase Conventional nicotine. Harsher than salt nicotine at high strengths, which is why 50/50 tends to be bought lower down the range.
Nic salt A smoother form of nicotine, which is why 20mg is common in salts and uncommon in freebase.
Shortfill A larger nicotine-free bottle, part-filled so a nicotine shot can be added.
Priming Filling a new pod and waiting five minutes before the first puff so the wick saturates.
Wicking How liquid reaches the coil. Too thick for the wick and the coil runs dry and burns.

The five mistakes that cost people money

  1. Not priming a new pod. One dry first puff can ruin a coil permanently. Fill it, wait five minutes.
  2. Thick liquid in a small coil. A VG-heavy shortfill in a pod built for 50/50 will not wick, and burns within a few puffs.
  3. Buying pods on brand alone. Ranges within one brand rarely interchange. Match the range name off the device, not from memory.
  4. Chasing strength instead of hardware. If a setup feels too weak, the device is more often the cause than the number on the bottle.
  5. Filling a pod to the very top. With no air gap, pressure changes push liquid out through the airway. Fill to just below the line.

Frequently Asked Questions

UK regulations restrict bottles containing nicotine to 10ml and the nicotine itself to 20mg/ml. Larger bottles sold here are shortfills, which contain no nicotine as supplied.

The figure is milligrams of nicotine per millilitre, so a 20mg bottle holds 200mg in total. How much you actually take in depends on how much liquid your device vaporises, which is why strength has to be matched to the hardware.

Yes. Multi-buy pricing applies across the range and flavours and strengths can be mixed freely within one offer. It is applied in the basket with no code to enter.

Refillable pod kits and MTL tanks — anything with a coil above roughly 0.8 ohm. Sub-ohm hardware wants a VG-heavy shortfill instead.
